I have a confession. I wasn't always an okra girl.

Growing up in Asia, I knew okra very well. Perhaps a little too well.

That famously slimy texture? Let's just say it wasn't exactly love at first bite.

But I knew there was something special about this quirky green vegetable. So I decided to give it a crunchy makeover.

And what a transformation.

Light, delicately sweet, wonderfully crispy and full of character. Everything I love about vegetables, with none of the texture I used to avoid.

Now I find myself reaching for okra as a snack. Who would have thought?

Sometimes all you need is a little change of attitude. And a very good crunch.

  • The raw materials for our artichoke chips is certified organic however the whole range of Other Foods is not certified organic. However, we are always working to source the highest quality ingredients for our range of snacks.

  • It’s a combination of science and gourmet adventure!

     

    We firstly vacuum dry our selected mushroom and okra, then put them into a vacuum chamber to gently cook them in a relatively low temperature. We are aiming for that symphony of crunchiness! Then comes the dash of vegan maltose to strengthen the natural sweetness of vegetable, then season with pinch of Himalayan salt to perfection. 

    All of our snacks are cooked in small batch to ensure we bring the highest quality to you.

  • Although all of our raw materials are certified, Other Foods are not currently certified Kosher or Halal. It is something we would consider if enough consumers ask for it.
